Yesterday was the perfect day. I had absolutely no responsibilities at all. My only goal was to stay home in my PJs all day. And that I did.
I let the morning take me on a journey and followed my intuition. I began taking photos of a Turkish lamp that I made back in November. While I was taking photos of the lamp, I began creating these beautiful, saturated photos of bokeh lights. Bokeh is a term used to describe those colorful balls of light you might see in a photo or movie.
After I uploaded all the images to my computer to get a better look-see, I became mesmerized with the images. It honestly was a peaceful and healing process to work on some of the images and I aint' gonna lie but I started seeing faces and flashbacks of memories in some of these shots. I know that's going to make me sound crazy but I don't care really. I am.
But anyway, I continued to follow my intuition and just let shit unfold. This resulted in me learning a tad more about the Chakra system, which is a topic I am definitely interested in but I really haven't put the time in to learn about it. If you do not know, Chakras are energy centers that are stored within different areas of the body.
There are 7 "famous" Chakras which include the Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra. Each Chakra is represented by a color, a part of the body, and specific emotional components. When energy gets trapped or stored in those parts of the body, the emotional components associated with each Chakra can be thrown off, creating a sense of imbalance.
There are a variety of ways to rebalance the Chakras. And sometimes you only need to focus on one area over another. Some people practice specific yoga poses to open up areas that are off-balance. Others may use crystals. Some many meditate, go to Reiki (which is lovely by the way and I recommend trying it), change diet, repeat affirmations, use a combination of therapies, etc.
As I created the images below, I wanted to make something that could help others, especially now as we are going through very daunting and sad humanitarian crises. Simply, the light in the colors of the rainbow that I was creating through my camera lens made me think of the rainbow, light, energy and the Chakra system. And thats when I decided to make these Chakra Light Photos
Quick question - do you know what ROYGBIV stands for? I was surprised to find out some people didnt learn this in elementary school.
I decided to "charge" the photos and as I edited them, I listened to specific meditations relating to each specific Chakra, repeating some of the affirmations that were spoken to me.
I found the meditations on Spotify. They are created by an individual named Andrea Morales, who goes by @adreamoracle on Instagram. They are beautiful, powerful, calming and reassuring.
Under each photo, I provide a link to the meditation that I listened to while creating that specific photo. May I suggest that while you listen to each meditation, you use the images below as a visualization tool to help you further realign your energy?
