Listen carefully… can you hear the Earth speak?

No — not in words. But the Earth communicates powerful messages that remind us to slow down, release, return to balance, and grow.  It’s up to us to listen, interpret these messages, and apply the lessons to our lives.

As a nature photographer, I spend countless hours observing the natural world - sometimes behind the lens, and other times reflecting on the images I’ve captured. You could say I’m a little obsessed with sharing Nature’s beauty… and you’d be right.

My time spent in Nature is like therapy, or a deep meditation, or "going to church".  Through Nature Photography, I’ve learned to "hear" Mother Earth's gentle messages, nudging me to reflect deeply on them, and grow as a person.

Another activity that helps me explore and heal my inner world is journaling.  Journaling is simply writing in a diary or journal.

And let's just say that my journaling ritual is.... earthy too! It is guided by the cycles of the moon, astrology and the unfolding of each season. Having a journaling ritual that is connected directly to Nature, provides me with a chance to dive even deeper into personal insight and self-growth.

Out of my love for Nature, photography, and mindful reflection came the inspiration for my new digital zine.

Rooted in Nature:

Meet the Photographer and Author

Photo of Leslie Archambault

Hi there. I am Leslie Archambault.

As a creative, my love is to not only photograph nature but to also use my photography as way to help others feel at ease and grow. My photographic process is largely intuitive and I find hidden meaning and lessons in many of my images. And sometimes, I feel compelled to share these thoughts with you through my website, social media and now through my seasonal Rooted in Nature series.

Rooted in Nature grew from my love of journaling and capturing the contemplative lessons found in nature. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with the rhythm of the natural world.
